- This was the eighth-ever meeting between the Mocs and the Bulldogs.
- Mississippi State now leads the all-time series 5-3.
- The Mocs are now 1-4 when playing in Starkville.
- UTC's last and only road win over MSU came on Dec. 17, 1985 (Mocs won 62-54).
- The Mocs have now had five different leading scorers in each of the team's opening five games:

- The Mocs finished with more offensive rebounds (17) than the Bulldogs did (12).
- This led the Mocs to have 21 second-chance points in the game compared to Mississippi State's 13.
- Chattanooga shot a season-low 27.1 percent (16-for-59) from the floor.

- Came off the bench for the first time this season, scoring three points and logging one rebound for the Mocs.

Masa Buzic, Fr., G
- Appeared in her second career game.
- Logged only one minute of game time.

Sigrun Olafsdottir, Sr., G/F
- Made her 122nd career start (all with the Mocs).
- Played in her 125th career game (all with the Mocs).
- Olafsdottir is now 11 games away from tying Abbey Cornelius for the most game played in program history (136).
- Olafsdottir is also 27 appearances away from tying David Jean-Baptiste and AJ Caldwell for the most games played by a men's OR women's basketball player in UTC history (152).
- She needs to appear in one more game to officially move into the program's Top 10 all-time in career games played.
- Once again led the team in rebounds, finishing with nine.

Izzy McPherson, Fr., G/F
- Made her first collegiate start.
- Led the Mocs in scoring for the first time in her career after dropping a career-high 16 points.
- This marks her first career double-digit scoring performance.
- Finished 6-for-11 (54.5 percent) from the floor and 3-for-8 (37.5 percent) from three.
- Had an additional four rebounds in the game, a career-high as well.

Caia Elisaldez, So., G
- Made her eighth career start (all with the Mocs.)
- Played in her 38th career game (all with the Mocs).
- Led the Mocs with two assists.
- Finished with five points and three rebounds as well.

Frode Flos, van der Schans, RSo., F/C
- Made her first collegiate start.
- Appeared in her 14th career game for the Mocs. Fourth of the season.
- Had two points and two rebounds in the game.

Ava Card, Fr., G/F
- Appeared in her fifth career game.
- Notched four rebounds in the loss.

Gianna Corbitt, Fr., F
- Appeared in her fifth career game.
- Scored four points for the Mocs.
- Had an additional two rebounds and a steal.

Kailyn Farrell, Sr., F
- Played in her 90th career game (36th as a Moc).
- Has two rebounds and an assist in eight minutes of action.

Brooke Anya, Gr., F/C
- Appeared in her 110th career game (fifth as a Moc).
- Accounted for three points and three rebounds off the bench.
