CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs are on the road this weekend for the last wrestling duals of 2024. They'll compete in the Norman Duals Saturday; however, the eyes of the wrestling world are back on the home front in Chattanooga.
 
The Southern Scuffle returns to McKenzie Arena with a slight twist. It's moving off the traditional New Year's dates to the weekend. The action starts on Saturday, Jan. 4, and ends Sunday, Jan. 5.
 
There are 22 programs committed to competing in the annual blockbuster event. It's always filled with top-ranked schools as well as the best mid-major programs from around the nation.
 
This year's group includes full teams and individuals from:

Chattanooga
The Citadel

Duke
Gardner-Webb
Little Rock
Long Island
North Carolina
North Dakota State
Northern Colorado
Oklahoma
Penn State
Virginia
Virginia Tech
 
While defending champion Stanford is missing, runner-up Oklahoma is back along with Army (4th), Northern Colorado (5th), App State (7th), Chattanooga (8th) and North Dakota State (9th) from last year's top 10. Add Penn State, North Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech to the mix along with returning Little Rock, currently ranked 19th in the nation, and once again, the Scuffle presents a premier challenge to all contestants.
 
Tickets are available on GoMocs.com. There are three options available:

• All-Session Pass: Sets you up for the entire event at one price. Price ranges from $35-75 depending on seat location.
• Day 1 Pass: This pass gets you to all the action for the first day of the event. Price ranges from $20-40 depending on seat location.
• Day 2 Pass: This pass opens the door to all of the second day including the finals. Price ranges from $20-40 depending on seat location.
