CHATTANOOGA---Let's Scuffle! The New Year is here so it's time for the annual Southern Scuffle presented by Compound Sportswear. The matchups begin Saturday, Jan, 4, and ends Sunday, Jan. 5 at McKenzie Arena.

The impressive 22-team field has 18 different programs represented among the seeds. Out of the 10 weight classes, there's an interesting breakdown.

Army has the has the most overall seeds with eight. It's followed by Oklahoma with seven, Virginia Tech with five as well as Little Rock, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado and Virginia with four each.

The highest tally of top seeds falls to Army, Northern Colorado, Oklahoma and Virginia Tech with two apiece. Little Rock and North Carolina each have one.

There are two defending champions in the field with both coming from Northern Colorado. Stevo Poulin looks to defend his 125 crown, while teammate Vinny Zerban heads the 157 class.

The most competitive weight on paper is 133. All six seeds are nationally ranked with five in the top 20. That gauntlet is led by No. 9 Nasir Bailey of Little Rock followed by No. 14 Dom Serrano (Northern Colorado) who finished as runner-up in 2024. Next up is No. 17 Ethan Oakley of North Carolina and Chattanooga's
Blake Boarman at 18. The Sooners' Cleveland Belton is 20th ahead of Army's Ethan Berginc at 22.

Southern Scuffle tickets are available on GoMocs.com. There are three options available:
- All-Session Pass: Sets you up for the entire event at one price. Price ranges from $35-75 depending on seat location.
- Day 1 Pass: This pass gets you to all the action for the first day of the event. Price ranges from $20-40 depending on seat location.
- Day 2 Pass: This pass opens the door to all of the second day including the finals. Price ranges from $20-40 depending on seat location.
