POSTGAME QUOTES
Dan Earl, Head Coach
Opening statement after 74-65 loss at Indiana.
"Yeah, in some ways it hurts that much more because that game was for the taking, and it was right there in the second half. We just wanted to be able to knock down the open shots that we had, which I thought we did a good job of creating. I thought our guys fought for most of the game, but there was a couple of free throw line block-outs and a couple loose balls we reached instead of grabbing it with two hands. Playing at Indiana, if you want to win, you've got to grab all the loose balls, and you have to stick and execute your game plan. I'm proud of the guy's fight, but it's disappointing because it was a game we could have easily won."
Â
Honor Huff, G-Sr.
"I think Indiana being a bit bigger and longer kind of hurt us in the end, but at the end of the day, we gave them a fight. We played our hearts out. I thought when it was a five-point game or so, I'm there thinking and asking, what gets tight if it's a one possession game late, in a game they're supposed to win? That type of thing. I just thought one more shot that fell could have really made a difference in the game."
