CHATTANOOGA (Feb. 10, 2024) --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team saw its three-match winning streak snapped in a tight 4-3 loss to UNC Asheville inside the Strang-Voges Tennis Center at McCallie School on Saturday afternoon.
 
Following the loss, Chattanooga falls to an even 4-4 on the season. UNCA improves 3-2 on the year after one-point victory.
 
The Bulldogs earned a 1-0 lead after doubles play, claiming wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. Madlena Orlova and Emma Pedretti earned a 6-3 victory in the final match at No. 3.
 
In singles, Pedretti posted a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 6 before Rozalie Dohnalova captured a 6-3, 6-1 win at the No. 1 slot to give UTC a 2-1 lead in the match. UNCA immediately responded with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 to jump back ahead 3-2. The guests clinched the match with a three-set win at No. 4.
 
Chattanooga (4-4) returns to action tomorrow, Sunday, February 11, with a road match at Lipscomb in Nashville. First serve is set for 2 p.m. ET. Match coverage links are available on the schedule page.
