Kera Healey and the Chattanooga Mocs in search of win No. 2 in as many weeks at the Spring Break Shootout.

DADE CITY, Fla.---The Chattanooga Mocs tee off Monday for the Spring Break Shootout. The field takes on the south course at Lake Jovita Golf Club.
The ladies look to make it 2-for-2 in March following last week's Chris Banister Invitational win with four top 10 performers: Makenzie Cooper (1), Giulia Foresta (T2), Kera Healey (T5) and Violeta Fernandez-Tagle (8). The starting lineup remains intact with Nieves Martin joining that quartet.
The Mocs are growing into the schedule. The spring work is impressive finishing third, fourth and first. All five starters have at least one top 10 with four adding a minimum of one top 5 to the mix.
They'll battle a solid 14-team field. Host Western Kentucky is the top-ranked squad at No. 70 with the Mocs right behind at 75. North Florida (86) and James Madison (93) are also in the top 100 with several squads just outside that number.
It all starts with 36 holes on Monday with an 8:45 a.m., shotgun start. It concludes Tuesday with a final 18. Live scoring, including pairings when available, is linked above.

- 1st time in the Spring Break Shootout. Slated to play March 16-17, 2020 before it was the first event on the Chattanooga schedule cancelled by COVID outbreak.
- Cooper's win at the Chris Banister was her second of the season & career. She claimed her first in the fall at the Evie Odom. It's the 5th time with multiple medalist honors in a season: 2007-08 (2-Emma de Groot), 2008-09 (2-de Groot), 2015-16 (2-McLennan), 2021-22 (2-Dorota Zalewska) & 2023-24 (2-Cooper).
- The Chris Banister Invite win is the program's first since the 2016 USA Women's Invite (Feb. 22-23) & 21st overall. Two or more wins in six of 17 seasons: 5, 2007-08; 2, 2008-09; 4, 2010-11; 2, 2012-13; 2, 2013-14 & 2, 2015-16.
- Last time with back-to-back wins? 2010-11: Lady Paladin Invitational (Oct. 29-31) & Kinderlou Forest Challenge (Feb. 27-March 1).
- Back-to-back-to-back top 10s for Fernandez-Tagle…averaging 72.78 stokes per 18 in spring.
- 25 par or better cards with Cooper & Fernandez-Tagle leading with eight. 17 under par with eight in the 60s (Cooper 5).
