CHATTANOOGA---As the Chattanooga Mocs football team readies for another exciting season, preseason prognostications are high.

• No. 9 in Stats Perform Top 25
• Preseason Pick to Win the SoCon
• Three Preseason All-Americans
• Two on Walter Payton Watch List

 
Optimism is high and the Mocs Club is bringing back a successful initiative allowing members to support success on the field. The Pledge Per Win/Pledge Per Touchdown program allows fans to pledge money per win this season at any amount at their comfort level. That's not the only pledge opportunity.
 
The offense, and defense for that matter when looking at the history of the Rusty Wright Era, has its eyes on the per touchdown option. It works the same way as win, donors pick their amount per TD and then the total is up to Joe Pizzo's group with an assist from Mike Yeager's brigade.
 
"It's a great way for our fans to impact our student-athlete experience," Vice-Chancellor for Athletics Mark Wharton shared. "It's was a good campaign for us a year ago and we're excited to bring it back. It puts our donors in the middle of the action."
 
Here's how it works:

• Go to the Mocs Club Pledge Per Win/TD page here
• Pledge any amount per victory and/or touchdown throughout the 2024 season.
• At the bottom of the screen, the opportunity to double the pledge for rivalry games with Samford and ETSU is available.
• Send link to friends encouraging them to join you.
• Watch (and cheer on) the Mocs wins and scores throughout the season.
• Repeat in 2025.

 
Weekly updates are provided by email with pledges charged at the conclusion of the season. The first 25 pledges of $50 or more per win or touchdown receive exclusive Mocs football apparel. Eight wins and 41 touchdowns resulted in more than $10,000 in last year's inaugural initiative.
 
How does it impact student-athletes? The Mocs Club is the philanthropic arm of the athletics department. Every dollar it raises directly impacts the championship experience for student-athletes. The most notable is scholarships working to give all programs the necessary tools to bring a competitive and complete student-athlete base.
 
Other ways come through reserved funds that aid in a variety of ways. Sports medicine, athletics performance, nutrition and academic support services are examples that allow student-athletes to be the best version of themselves in and out of their sport and classroom.
