Gold Sweeps Blue in a Competitive Blue-Gold World Series

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Gold showcased their depth and consistency in the three-game Blue-Gold World Series sweep over Blue at Frost Stadium to close out a competitive fall season. The series featured strong pitching performances, clutch hitting, and standout individual efforts from both squads as they prepare for the upcoming spring season.
 
Game 1: Gold Mocs 8, Blue Mocs 4
Date: October 15

Gold opened the series with an 8–4 win, capitalizing on seven errors by the Blue team. Baileigh Pitts drove in two runs, while Zoe Wright went 3-for-4 with a double and a stolen base. Despite a three-hit, two-RBI performance from Mia Leone - including a home run - Blue couldn't overcome defensive struggles.

Game 2: Gold Mocs 5, Blue Mocs 2
Date: October 16

Taylor Long dominated in the circle for the Gold Mocs, striking out seven and allowing just three hits in a complete-game effort. Raven Jones and Allie Cole each drove in runs, while Blue managed a late two-run rally in the sixth but couldn't close the gap.

Game 3: Gold Mocs 9, Blue Mocs 7
Date: October 17

In a nine-inning thriller, the Gold Mocs outlasted the Blue Mocs 9–7. Baileigh Pitts led the offense with three RBIs and a double, while Ava Cowart scored three times and stole a base. The Blue Mocs responded with a home run from Abi Bunt and multi-hit games from Chloe Lackey and Mia Leone, but the Gold Mocs' late surge proved decisive.
