2025 WSOC Postseason Awards

Johnson Named Freshman of the Year as Mocs Earn Multiple Postseason Honors

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's soccer team capped off a successful 2025 campaign with a strong showing in the Southern Conference postseason awards, highlighted by freshman forward Quinn Johnson being named the SoCon Freshman of the Year.

Johnson made an immediate impact in her debut season, scoring five goals and earning a spot on both the All-Conference Second Team and the All-Freshman Team. Her dynamic play and clutch performances helped propel the Mocs to a top-four finish in the league standings. The Vancouver, B.C., freshman scored all five goals against league opponents including a brace in the Mocs win over VMI. She tallied game winners against Mercer and the Keydets.

Joining Johnson among the honorees was senior forward Caroline Richvalsky, who earned First Team All-Conference recognition. Richvalsky led the Mocs in scoring and was a consistent offensive threat throughout the season, finishing with nine goals and eight assists. She was second in the SoCon standings for points and 26th in the NCAA. She recorded a brace earlier this season against Mercer and tallied the game winners against North Alabama and the season-finale at Western Carolina.

Senior midfielder Clarissa Salinas was named to the Second Team All-Conference, showcasing her leadership and versatility in the midfield. She drove home a pair penalty kicks this season on three tries. She is tied for fourth on the team in scoring with three goals and two assists and notched the game winner in UTC's shutout victory against Morehead State.

Wilson anchored a Mocs defense that allowed 20 goals, fourth fewest in program history and allowed just 155 shots with 62 on goal. The Knoxville, Tenn., native helped Chattanooga to back-to-back victories with goals against Belmont and Wofford.

Chattanooga travels to Birmingham, Ala., to take on #5 seed Furman Friday night at Samford's Shauna Yelton Field in the quarterfinal round of the Southern Conference Championship. The match is slated to kick off at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. Live stats and video streaming are available online at GoMocs.com on the women's soccer schedule page.
