Opening thoughts after 91-73 loss at FGCU.
"It was certainly a tough day. We have to compete harder on both sides of the ball, certainly defensively. We did not compete for the ball, I mean, they had 13 offensive rebounds. They just seemed to be quicker to the ball, which was disappointing. I have to get them to compete harder out there. We missed some shots in the first half, and then maybe that takes the wind out of your sails a little bit, but you have to have a staple, a non-negotiable, of just competing on both sides of the floor."
 
On moving forward.
"It's hard to be good. You have to do everything right. It's getting stops, moving fast on offense, pushing the ball in transition, properly using your mind, getting in the right coverages, executing on offense. There's a variety of those things. I mean, you can't be perfect on all of the them, I get that. We just have a lot of things to work on, but the first step is just making sure we're competing the right way on both ends of the ball."
