On tonight's matchup against SC State.
"South Carolina State plays an interesting style of basketball. They press you and make you work for possession the whole time, and then when they try to deny the possession, they seem to fall back and allow an attack at times. I thought we were a little passive at times, right? And we weren't attacking enough. I told them to trust themselves and I thought they responded well. We had to be the tougher team tonight and that started with trusting to attack."

Overall thoughts after tonight's win.
"I feel like I'm just proud of the way we moved the ball and took advantage of the advantages they were giving us. You know, they were trapping a lot, so they put two on the ball, and we were just throwing it over their heads and trying to take open shots."

On the biggest key to success.
"It's being able to play off each other and just being ready to shoot. It's like coach Earl's culture motto, we really need to be ready to see open guys, share open shots, and shoot open shots, those will be good things for us. I'm happy to get our first win, first division one win, and have five games at home coming up."
