SPARTANBURG, S.C. (December 22, 2025) --- After a blistering scoring week over two games, Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball junior guard
Jordan Frison has been tabbed the Southern Conference Player of the Week as the league office announced the weekly honor Monday afternoon.
Frison is the first Chattanooga representative to earn Southern Conference Player of the Week honors this season over the first seven weeks of action.
Honor Huff was the last Moc to earn POTW status which came last season on February 3.
In two road games, Frison averaged an impressive 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game for the week while shooting an efficient 53.3% (16-30) from the floor and 91.7% (11-12) from the FT line. He amassed an incredible 9.0 assist-to-turnover ratio with nine total assists to just one turnover in a lengthy 36.9 minutes per game.
After posting 20 points at Bellarmine on Wednesday and a season-high 27 at Alabama A&M on Sunday, Frison has now scored 20 or more points in four straight games. In addition to the 27 points in Sunday's win at AAMU, Frison added a season-high nine rebounds and posted five assists and two steals while knocking down a late three to provide the game's dagger.
For the season, Frison is averaging 15.0 points, 4.1 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 54.6% (65-119) from the floor and 43.9% (18-41) from deep with a 2.79 A/TO ratio. He ranks third among SoCon competition this season in A/TO ratio (2.79), total assists (53) and assists per game (4.1).
Chattanooga (6-7) will now turn its attention towards SoCon play with a New Year's Day matchup at UNCG in Greensboro, N.C., before heading to Lexington, Va., for league showdown against VMI on January 3.
