BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The Chattanooga indoor track and field team closed out the regular season Friday at the Bulldog Invite hosted by Samford at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala., with 15 personal best performances.

"The Mocs are coming back to Chattanooga with a bevy of new PBs and season-best marks in Birmingham," assistant coach
Patrick Gildea said. "In our final tune up meet prior to the Southern Conference Championships at the end of the month, the women did a great job and met or exceeded objectives."

Maddie Wheatcroft placed second with a PR time of 10:09.96 in the women's 3000 meter run.
Brooke Tyll was the next UTC runner across the line placing fifth overall with a PR time of 10:17.92.
Ellie von Herrmann was the third Moc in the Top 10 at 10:33.07, a personal best, placing ninth overall.
Emma Thweatt also hit a PR in the race, along with fellow freshman
Audrey Wade.

Ryleigh Simmons set a PR in the 60 meter dash prelims, qualifying for the final where she bested her time at 7.83 to finish fourth overall.
Stella Henry also hit a personal top time at 8.09.

Adelaide McKeown set a high mark for herself in the 60 meter hurdles at 10.74 while Simmons ran a PR 26.29 in the 200 meter dash.

Lexi Foley led the Mocs in the Mile and 800 meter runs. She posted a personal record time of 5:18.22 in the Mile and recorded a 2:26.74 in the 800 meter.

Andrea Ellis placed sixth in the 5000 meter run, posted a PR time of 18:01.47 with Michael Dabney also hitting a high mark, finishing 10
th at 18:43.67.

Ava McGue and
Adelaide McKeown each posted personal best distances in the long jump.
Stella Henry finished third with a leap of 5.42 meters (17-09.50) while McGue jumped 5.00 meters. McKeown recorded a distance of 4.30 meters.

Lexi Foley was awarded the Mocs Baton Award by
Ryleigh Simmons.
