POSTGAME QUOTES
Dan Earl, Head Coach
Overall thoughts after tonight's 78-71 win over ETSU.
"Yeah, credit to ETSU. They were obviously down a guy or two, and I thought they had a great game plan of taking the air of the ball and playing slow. That frustrated us a good amount and we need to work on that. I thought it was a hard-fought win against a really good team and we made enough plays late. We stayed the course. I'm proud of the guys for keeping their fight. It was a good team win, but we need to learn from that outing."
Â
On tonight's win improving confidence.
"It's important. We've gained confidence. I think we've gotten better with each game, and this one we took a little dip down for certain. You want to be playing your best basketball heading into Asheville, but I think these guys know if we play the right way offensively and we're locked in defensively, we can become much better. This will help the confidence level but every game in the Southern Conference is a dog fight."
Â
Trey Bonham, G-Sr.
On tonight's strong shooting performance.
"I have been in the gym a lot this week. I told Honor [Huff] before the game that it felt good tonight that it was going in. I got up a lot of shots and it's really just confidence, I know I can make shots, so it's coming in to the game having confidence in my ability."
Â
Honor Huff, G-Jr.
On getting back to the three-ball tonight.
"Teams try to take the three away from us of course, that's our style at a maximum. The defense today allowed us to get some open looks from three, the way they changed their defense up allowed us to free some guys. It was just good to see us make some shots tonight."
