POSTGAME QUOTES
Dan Earl, Head Coach
Overall thoughts after 79-70 win over Wofford.
"They're a good offensive team who really crashes the boards and fights hard. And then as you said, we were a little too casual down stretch. I don't if it was 10 or 11 or 12 or whatever, and then they got within six and we had to talk. They did bank in at three and they came downhill, but we found a way to get that necessary stop. We have to clean some things up down the stretch, but overall, I'm extremely proud of the guys for finding ways to win, especially on the road."
Â
On this group coming together especially on the road.
"I'm really proud of them and their will to find ways. On top of that, it's a really great group to coach. They listen and they're extremely fun to be around on the road, and at home. They joke around and hang out a lot together, it's just a really fun group to coach right now. I will have coach speak here, we still got a ways to go, and we have to continue to get better. Every single night is a tough, tough game in this league as we all know."
Â
Frank Champion, Sr.-F
On defensive effort.
"We started to get a lot of stops and really turned up the defense, and when we didn't, it becomes a whole different ball game, you know. I think we win a little more comfortably if we just limited their offensive rebounds and second chance points."
Â
On winning on the road with veteran experience.
"I think it goes with our veteran experience, you know, and with the way that coach recruited us. We have guys who started five years and played five years. So that right there just shows, you know, night in and night out on the road, you have guys that have been in these situations. Regardless of if it's division two experience or wherever you came from, you have that experience to rely on."
