MACON, Ga. (March 16, 2025) – The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team dropped a tight 4-3 decision at Mercer in its Southern Conference opener on Sunday afternoon at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center in Macon, Ga.
Chattanooga (8-6, 0-1 SoCon) has now dropped its last four meetings against Mercer (5-9, 1-1 SoCon) after previously winning 13-straight matches from 2007-2022. Two of the previous four matches and six of the last 10 meetings between the two programs have been decided by a 4-3 count.
"The team really fought hard today," said head coach
Chad Camper following the match. "We definitely learned a lot as we head into more SoCon play."
