QUOTES
Head Coach Dan Earl
Opening statement after 87-72 win over Dayton.
"I'm really proud of the guys. That was a well played game, I thought, on both sides. Credit to Dayton, they're a really good basketball team. They make shots, they execute. they're tough and physical, and I thought we did a pretty good job of exceeding or matching their physicality. So, really proud of our guys."
Â
On what seniors Trey Bonham and Honor Huff mean to him.
"You know, I'm gonna miss [Trey] here and hopefully we're gonna keep this guy here [Honor] around for another year, but they both played outstanding and we've been with them for a number of years. So, great to see them playing their best basketball late. I thought they were both phenomenal."
Â
On the impact of today's fans.
"Shout out to the crowd. I mean, I thought that was awesome. We really appreciate everybody coming out in full effect. That place, the McKenzie Arena, the Roundhouse got loud. I think our guys are appreciative, and I think they deserve it, but we are so thankful that everyone came out to support us. Hopefully we can keep it rolling."
Â
Trey Bonham, Sr. - G
On potentially his last game in the McKenzie Arena.
"It was a pretty good game to have for my last game here in McKenzie. [Huff and I] got a joke that we never score 20 points together, so it was cool for both of us to have pretty good games in my last game here. I'm just blessed to play be able to play again."
Â
On one memory he'll take away from playing with Honor.
"Mine is definitely passing him the ball and just turning around. I already know it's going in. I throw up the call me sign, the three sign. I it's a good feeling knowing that I got 100% confidence in him to make that shot every time."Â
Â
Honor Huff, Sr. - G
On one memory he'll take away from playing with Trey.
"I think our, connection. I don't think you'll find it anywhere else, honestly. It's like he knows where I'm gonna be at and I know what he's gonna do before he does it, I promise you, I'm behind him and I can visualize, 'okay, he's about to do that,' then he does that. I don't think you'll find out any other duo players, and obviously we've been around each other a long time, but I just I'm gonna miss that. I'm gonna take away the connection we had because I don't know if I'll be able to find a better player on and off the court."
