RALEIGH, N.C. --- Chattanooga's Aaron Isbell and Jack Martin finished steps apart Thursday afternoon in the 1500 meter run at the Raleigh Relays with both posting their best times.
 
"Both Aaron and Jack were in the second section and scored massive PB's," assistant coach Patrick Gildea said. "Both guys positioned themselves well and closed well to earn second and third in their section respectively."
 
Isbell bested his previous top time by nearly three seconds finishing second in his heat with a time of 3:53.81. Martin was third in his first collegiate 1500 meter with a time of 3:54.01.
 
Liam Murphy and Marco Langon from Villanova finished first and second respectively overall. Murphy's top time was 3:33.02 while Langon was just behind at 3:33.38.
 
Maddie Wheatcroft will run the 1500 meter Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. and Lesley Boyd is currently assigned the second section of the women's 10,000 meter Open at 10:35 p.m. The Invite begins at 9:20 p.m.
