First Take
"I think this year more than any other, this conference is razor thin amongst the top group of teams. Everybody's kind of lost or beaten somebody that's the other person is lost to, and so it's anybody's game. Every single point and position is going to matter. It's going to take all 10 guys to bring home the trophy." – Coach Kyle Ruschell on the opportunity ahead in Asheville

Who has won the most SoCon Tournament Titles
The event goes back to 1930, and Chattanooga joined 48 years later in 1978. Yet, the Mocs are the winningest program in league history with 29. Second and third? App State (10) and VMI (9).

Who has the most individual winners?
You've probably guessed it, but yeah. That's be the Mocs again with 161. The Mountaineers (124) and Keydets (112) are second and third, respectively.

How do you advance to the NCAA Championships?
Each weight class winner earns an automatic bid into this year's field. Second place at 133, 141 and 197 are also allocated auto entry to Philadelphia. After that, it's at large selections. Second place is determined if the third-place finisher was defeated during the tournament by the runner-up in the finals. If not, there is a true second place match for that final bid between those two wrestlers.

Final Thought: "Again it's about every point, every half a point, it's going to matter. Hey, you lost on the front side? Now it's bigger than you. Now it's more for the team than yourself, because you're not going to make it to the National Tournament. Go get third, go get a pin on the back side, do something to put this group over the edge and walk away with a conference championship. It's easy to focus on who reaches the finals, but I truly believe these tournaments are won and lost on the back side of the draw." – Ruschell on featured bouts
