Fernandez-Tagle Earns SoCon Postseason Honors

First Look: Violeta Fernandez-Tagle was one of 10 named to the All-Southern Conference team on Wednesday. It is the second straight year she's earned the honor. She led the Chattanooga Mocs with a 73.37 stroke average with two top 5 finishes – 3rd at Mercedes-Benz Collegiate & T4 at SoCon Championships.

Fernandez-Tagle joins Emma de Groot (2008-09), Emily McLennan (2013-14) and Agathe Sauzon (2013-14) to earn the award in their first two seasons in the program.
10th Mocs women's golfer with multiple All-SoCon awards.
Fernandez-Tagle's 73.37 season scoring average is 6th lowest all-time for the program.
Fernandez-Tagle is currently career scoring leader at 73.63 strokes per 18 in 63 rounds. That's nearly a stroke clear of Hall of Famer Emma de Groot's 74.54 at just the midpoint of her career.
Fernandez-Tagle is 5th in par or better rounds with 24 in her career passing fellow Spaniard Monica San Juan '19 who had 22. Her 10 in 2024-25 ties for fifth most in just the 10th double-digit season.
Fernandez-Tagle moved up to second all-time in career rounds in the 60's with eight (4 in both seasons). She's three behind Dorota Zalewska '23 who had 11.
