MEMPHIS, Tenn. (September 12, 2025) – The Chattanooga Mocs volleyball team posted two victories, sweeping Lamar 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-20) and defeating UT Martin 3-1 (21-25, 26-24, 25-14, 25-23), on the final day of the Carrie Yerty Classic held in Memphis Friday afternoon.

Following the doubleheader sweep, Chattanooga improves to 4-5 overall this season while its win over UT Martin marked the first for the program in eight all-time tries.

"I thought it was a good weekend of volleyball winning two matches, and almost three, going back-and-forth against Memphis yesterday," said head coach Julie Torbett Thomas following Friday's play.

"I thought our team played with great toughness today, especially facing two different styles of play in Lamar and UT Martin. It created some adjustments, and I thought our middles played fantastic today."
