Quotable
Coach Rusty Wright: "There was a bunch of them out there for the first time. Hopefully, we got those deer in the headlights moments out. That showed up early for some of them, but we kept playing and doing those things, and we got better in some situations with some young guys."
Â
Junior S Kam Baah-Slay: "We have a lot to clean up. The last two days at practice, we emphasized communication, eyes in the right spot, playing fast and getting to the ball. Things that our defense is built on."
Â
Sophomore TE John McIntyre: "We're just trying to execute the small things every single week and just trying to control what we can control at the end of the day. We gotta get the little things better. We let some little things get away from us at Memphis."
