CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Chattanooga Mocs volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-22) defeat to former rival Jacksonville State during the final day of the Chattanooga Classic on Saturday evening inside McKenzie Arena.
 
Following the defeat, Chattanooga moves to 2-4 overall on the season while JSU evened its early season record to 3-3 after the win.

- Freshman OH Jordin Glass was named to the Chattanooga Classic All-Tournament Team.
- Cincinnati (3-0) earned the Chattanooga Classic title following its victory over Alabama today.

Set 1 – JSU 25, UTC 19
- Chattanooga recorded 19 points in the first set, with Gracie Rose contributing notable kills. 
- Jacksonville State's Charlette Solomon assisted in multiple kills, leading to a 25-19 set victory. 
- The Mocs managed to narrow the score gap with a service ace from Ashley Reynolds. 
- Keyauna Linwood and Kayla Williams led the opposition with key kills throughout the set.
 
Set 2 – JSU 25, UTC 16
- Chattanooga gained an early lead with a service ace from Kynli Kirkendoll, making it 5-3. 
- Kendyl MacAskill contributed key points with multiple kills, helping Chattanooga maintain competitiveness. 
- Kayla Williams of Jacksonville State was pivotal, registering several kills, including a crucial point tying the score at 12-12. 
- Destiny Wiggins and Jordin Glass combined for a block, adding to the Mocs' defensive efforts. 
 
Set 3 – JSU 25, UTC 22
- Chattanooga initiated the set with a 4-1 lead, featuring kills by Sydney Jackwin and Gracie Rose. 
- UTC's defense recorded multiple blocks, contributing to a 5-1 stretch, with Laila N'Diaye and Jordin Glass involved in several key plays. 
- Sydney Jackwin and Jordin Glass each added kills late in the set, keeping Chattanooga close with a score of 22-25. 
- Jacksonville State secured the set victory with a decisive kill from Kayla Williams, concluding the set 25-22.

Chattanooga travels west to Memphis, Tennessee next weekend for the Memphis Tournament running Thursday and Friday. The Mocs will face Memphis on Thursday before concluding with a Friday doubleheader against Lamar and UT Martin.
