Overview
The Chattanooga Mocs put on a dominating performance in a 30-10 win at Gardner-Webb in the Southern Conference opener for both programs. The Mocs took eight wins in 10 matches.

Chattanooga took four of the first five matches for a 14-4 advantage. Tucker Cell gave the Bulldogs hope at 165 with a pin to close the gap to 14-10.
Kamdyn Munro was nearly immediate in his response with a first period fall followed by a
Landon Jones decision to slam the door shut on their hosts.

The Breakdown
- The Mocs went 8-2 on the night with wins at 125, 141, 149, 157, 174, 184, 197 & 285. The Runnin' Bulldogs claimed 133 and 165.
- Cooper Flynn got it started with a dominant third period tech fall. He scored eight of his 17 points with an escape, takedown and 4pt near fall in the second. Earned the finish with a takedown 30 seconds into final frame.
- Hunter Mason had the most dramatic win. He was down 1-0 with riding time clinched for Dominic DiTullio. Mason got a deep shot and powered to a takedown with two seconds remaining for the 3-2 decision.
- Yuta Otero got a second period takedown to earn his first career SoCon dual win. He kept Drew Pepin from scoring more than an escape over the seven minutes in a 4-2 triumph.
- Liddie controlled his bout in a 5-0 decision. He showed great patience in a second period reversal and then padded the win with a late takedown in the third.
- Munro locked in the cradle and put away Isaiah Guerrero in just 38 seconds for his 50th career win and 17th pin.
- Jones earned two takedowns clinching the dual win with his 7-3 decision over Haydn Danals.
- Kade Rule registered his first career dual win with a 13-9 decision. The true freshman got the dub over G-W senior Josh McCutcheon.
- Ethan Vergara put the exclamation point on the triumph with a major decision. He completely dominated his matchup with Edison Flores earning 15 points with three takedowns, back points, an escape, penalty point for stalling and riding time bonus.
