Postgame Quotes
Dan Earl, Head Coach
Opening thoughts after 81-55 loss to Wofford.
"To say we didn't play well, would be doing an injustice to describing what just happened out there. Utterly disappointing or competitiveness. Things are going to go wrong at times. We're going to miss shots, which we did. Things are going to go wrong defensively. but you cannot not compete when adversity hits. And I didn't see any fight from us tonight - super disappointing. 18 offensive rebounds for Wofford, three offensive rebounds for us. So I think we all have to look in the mirror to figure out how we're going to respond and get better from it."
Â
On not having enough effort tonight to rebound the basketball.
"The most frustrated you are, is when a long rebound comes off, and it's a 50-50 ball, and we don't grab it. I mean, look, late in the game, we had a chance for maybe three offensive rebounds, hit our hands, multiple guys, didn't grab it, didn't grab it, didn't grab it. One had the audacity, one of us, to look at the refs for a call late when we didn't grab an offensive rebound. So, yes, 50-50 balls, balls that hit our arms or hands, and we don't come up with are ultra frustrating. I get when we're switching or they have a size differential, and the guy outweighs us by 60 pounds, and he's pushing against us, and we get into jumping match, we end up losing it. Don't enjoy that. But that's more understandable. The hustle plays 50-50 balls are not."

Jordan Frison, Jr, Guard
On how to be a better leader for this team.
"I mean, leading by example, instead of just being a vocal leader. I think I could be better in that sense, in terms of, even if, you know, we slacking the energy, my energy has to be up at all times, and I got to, you know, show everybody, at least what to do as the leader of the team. I definitely got to be better in that aspect for us to pick this up and get out of this rut. I'll be better next time."
