Ward Harris claims his second Southern Conference weekly honor on a week of firsts for the senior from Birmingham.
Chattanooga Mocs senior Ward Harris is the Southern Conference Golfer of the Week as announced Wednesday afternoon. Harris earned the honor with a winning performance at the Qubein Cup, his first collegiate triumph.
Â
Harris, a native of Birmingham, Ala., shot a career-low 206 with rounds of 69, 70 and 67. His 4 under earned a 2-shot victory of teammate Evan Rogers, the 26th-ranked golfer in the country. It was the third win by a Moc this season (2-Rogers) and remarkable eighth by a SoCon golfer thus far in 2026-27.
Â
It marks the second straight season Harris has won the award following the final event of the fall. Last year, he shot 5-under 211 at the Fallen Oak Collegiate to net the top spot.
