Postgame Quotes
Dan Earl, Head Coach
Opening thoughts after 75-70 loss at Furman.
"Maybe they're not aware that a game is 40 minutes. It's amazing to me. All we did in the second half was compete. We certainly made some shots, made some plays, but it was competitive with a sure fight. Stating the obvious, you can't dig yourself that kind of hole and end up burning all your timeouts in the first half. The second half, we went with the guys who were going to show fight. I was proud of their efforts, but it's not fair to themselves, it's not fair to their teammates, and it's not fair to our fans, to only show that kind of fight for one half."

On closing the gap down the stretch.
"It did get interesting down the stretch, and you know, maybe a three from Tate or a three from Teddy goes down and it gets within a point or two. I will say, our guys were still fighting, but it's just so hard to dig yourself a hole like that and come out of it on the winning side of things."
