BATON ROUGE, La. (February 20, 2026) — The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team earned its fourth-straight victory after cruising to a 6-1 win over Southern during non-conference action on Friday afternoon in Baton Rouge, La.
 
Chattanooga improves to 6-1 on the season following its fourth-straight win, and first over Southern in the series' history. Southern to 0-3 overall after today's defeat.

Emma Pedretti and Savannah Presson initiated the success in doubles with a 6-2 win at No. 2 over LaTesha Grant and Kai Wince. Ella Mancuso and Margaret Manolache followed with a 6-2 victory at No. 3 against Ratidzo Mabukwa and Samara Onwuteaka before the sweep was completed by Addison Iacono and Rufaro Magarira, who triumphed 6-3 at No. 1 over Decora Antoine and Tshegofatso Tsiang.
 
In singles, the Mocs extended their lead quickly when Magarira posted a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 2 over Shahd Habib. Mancuso added another point with a decisive 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 5 against Antoine. Presson posted a 7-5, 6-1 result at No. 3 over Wince to add to the team total.
 
Pedretti continued the winning momentum at No. 4, overcoming Grant 7-6, 6-2, while Iacono came from behind to defeat Tsiang 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 at No. 1. Southern managed to pick up a singles point at No. 6 where Onwuteaka edged out Joelle Krikorian in a three-set battle, finishing 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 court No. 5.
