RICHMOND, Ky. (February 21, 2026) – The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision on the road at Eastern Kentucky during non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at the Adams Tennis Center in Richmond, Ky.
 
With the loss, Chattanooga falls to 2-5 on the season with three non-conference matches on tap next week. EKU improves to 8-9 overall following the victory.

In doubles, EKU secured a 6-4 win at No. 1 with Marek Nano and Nuno Pinheiro defeating Cortland Grove and Jakub Jupa before Chattanooga managed to equalize momentarily when Julian Franzmann and Kristof Kincses claimed a 7-5 victory at No. 2. However, EKU clinched the doubles point with a 7-6 triumph at No. 3, as Fernando Bulnes and Adrian Contreras edged out Jaxon Lamb and Carter Ramthun.
 
In singles, Jupa delivered a strong performance at No. 1, defeating Pinheiro 6-0, 6-2 to earn Chattanooga's lone point. EKU responded with victories on the lower courts as Cazac outlasted Grove 6-3, 7-6 at No. 3, while Joao Barreto overcame Martin Delnido 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4. Bulnes clinched the match for EKU with a hard-fought 6-2, 6-7, 6-3 win over Franzmann on court No. 2.
