CHATTANOOGA (February 27, 2026) – For the second-straight day, the Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team posted a dramatic match-clinching moment after securing a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Austin Peay during non-conference action on Friday afternoon at the UTC Tennis Center.
 
With the win, Chattanooga improves to 4-5 on the season with one more non-conference match on tap this weekend against Presbyterian on Sunday. Austin Peay fell to 2-5 overall this season following its defeat.

In doubles, Jaxon Lamb and Carter Ramthun claimed a 6-3 win on court No. 2 over Felipe De La Hormaza and Vincent Lu before Austin Peay's Rohan Loubser and Logan Tomovski answered with a 6-4 victory at No. 1 over Jakub Jupa and Cortland Grove. Lucas Ranciaro and Bodi van Galen clinch the team point for APSU with a 6-3 win on No. 3.
 
In singles, UTC's TJ Ryerson opened with a 7-6 (7-3), 6-0 win over De La Hormaza at No. 4 before Jupa continued the momentum at No. 1, defeating Loubser 6-4, 6-4. Lucas Ranciaro from Austin Peay managed to capture a point and tie the match 2-2 with a 7-6 (9-7), 6-4 victory over Jaxon Lamb at No. 5.
 
Austin Peay's Glen Arnet completed a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 comeback win over Carter Ramthun at No. 6 to give APSU a 3-2 lead. Kincses answered with a comeback win of his own, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4, at No. 2 over Lu to pull things even 3-3. Martin Delnido secured a 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 triumph at No. 3 over Tomovski to provide the match-clinching moment for the Mocs.
