Postgame Quotes
Dan Earl, Head Coach
Opening statement after 78-71 loss to The Citadel.
"Obviously, a tough day. We did not play well. I don't think we fought hard enough. Credit to The Citadel, they were the more physical team. We talked about trying to make a stand further away from the basket on their drives. We did not do that, and then they made some shots on top of it so not our finest hour. We have to regroup and figure it out going forward."

On who to rely on as a leader.
"On a game-by-game basis? It's a great question. There are individual things I can count on. Brennan (Watkins) will fight. Jordan (Frison) offensively is usually pretty consistent. I could go down the line with a couple of other guys. But that's part of our problem is the inconsistency. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to figure it out. One game, somebody will play well or compete harder. Another game, he doesn't have it that day, perhaps. From a shot-making standpoint, that's going to happen. From a competitive standpoint, you can't let that happen."

Brennan Watkins, G-Sr.
On leading by example.
"I think I just need to do a better job of getting everyone else ready as well. It doesn't matter if one or two guys are ready if the other 11, 12, 13 guys are not. I just think that's the biggest thing for me moving forward. It's not only staying ready myself but getting everyone else on the on the court ready so we're ready to battle and fight."
