FLORENCE, Ala. (March 18, 2026) — The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team saw its nine-match win streak snapped during a 4-0 non-conference defeat at red-hot North Alabama on Wednesday afternoon at the UNA Tennis Courts in Florence, Ala.

• Chattanooga drops to 11-2 on the season and has its nine-match win streak snapped… North Alabama improved to 12-2 and upped its win streak to 11 after the victory.
• Chattanooga entered the match tying its best start to a single season since 2023 with an 11-1 record…  the nine-match win streak was the longest since 10-straight victories in 2015.

In doubles, UNA's Farah Asaad and Eeva Ristola opened with a 6-3 win over Rufaro Magarira and Savannah Presson on court No. 1 before the home duo of Emma Ansorge and Mathilde Delaney secured the team point with a 6-3 win over Addison Iacono and Emma Pedretti at No. 2. The match at No. 3 went unfinished while tied 4-4.

In singles, North Alabama extended its lead with a win at No. 3 as Delaney defeated Pedretti (6-2, 6-2) before Ansorge tacked on UNA's third point win a win at No. 2 singles, overcoming Presson (6-1, 6-3). The Lions' Senem Ocal clinched the sweep for North Alabama with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Ella Mancuso in the No. 6 slot.
 
Matches at No. 1, 4, and 5 singles were left unfinished as the match was played under a 'clinch-clinch' format.
