CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga Mocs softball team fell 8-3 to Wofford Sunday afternoon at Finley Stadium in the final game of the three-game Southern Conference series. UTC falls to 12-17-1 overall and 1-2 in league play while the Terriers improve to 22-5 on the year and 2-1 in conference action.

The Terriers had six hits in the third inning to take a 6-0 lead. The Mocs responded with a three-run rally in the sixth started with a lead off home run from
Baileigh Pitts.
Anna Dovey followed with a double and pinch runner
Izzy Carlyle scored three batters later on a ground rule double by
Raven Jones.
Abi Bunt's sac fly to right plated
Auburn Karls for the Mocs third run of the game to make it 6-3.

Wofford added another two runs in the seventh.

Chattanooga spread out five hits and had three RBI in the game.
Taylor Long struck out three in two and 2/3 innings.
Emery Bales struck out one and forced seven ground outs over her first eight batters and closed the game with two strikeouts.

UTC finished with five hits, drawing seven walks but leaving eight runners on base.
