CHATTANOOGA (March 28, 2026) — In a battle of unbeaten rivals on Saturday afternoon, the Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team ultimately suffered its first Southern Conference defeat after falling 7-0 to in-state foe ETSU at the UTC Tennis Center on campus.

Match Recap
In doubles, ETSU's Alessandra Caceres and Mariangel Estrella created quick and early momentum after securing a strong 6-2 decision on court No. 1 over UTC's Addison Iacono and Rufaro Magarira. The Bucs claimed the team point with a 6-2 win on court No. 3 before closing out doubles action with a 6-4 comeback victory at the No. 2 pairing.
 
In singles, it was all ETSU from the jump as Estrella posted a quick 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 6 over UTC's Jordan Fenton before Audelie Lesauvage claimed a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 4 over Emma Pedretti to give the guests a 3-0 lead in the match. ETSU clinched the overall victory with a 6-2, 6-3 win from Julia Millan over Savannah Presson in the No. 3 slot.
 
The Bucs added points with straight-set victories at No. 5 and No. 2 to create a 6-0 lead with one court, No. 1, remaining in action. Kesenija Rage completed the road sweep for ETSU after claiming a three-set, comeback win over Iacono by a 2-6, 7-6 (3), 10-6 final count.
