JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 2, 2026) — The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team suffered a 7-0 defeat at perennial Southern Conference-power and nationally ranked No. 60 ETSU on Thursday afternoon at the Dave Mullins Tennis Complex in Johnson City, Tenn.

• Chattanooga drops to 9-11 on the season… 3-3 in the SoCon play… No. 60 ETSU improves to 17-3 and remains perfect in league action at 5-0… Bucs win streak grows to 17-straight victories (2^nd longest active streak in DI).
• Chattanooga is one of just two SoCon program (Furman) to post a win over ETSU after the program rejoined the league in 2015… UTC earned a 4-3 win in 2023… ETSU has also never dropped a home SoCon match since that same 2015 span.

At No. 2 doubles, ETSU's Peter Kalocsai and Arenui Luethi defeated Julian Franzmann and Kristof Kincses, 6-1, in the first match to finish befor Oscar Martinez and Martin Vergara clinched the team point at No. 1 with a 6-3 victory over Jakub Jupa and Cortland Grove. James Sim and Juan Listo overcame Jaxon Lamb and Carter Ramthun, 6-4, on court No. 3 to cap the sweep.
 
ETSU continued its momentum into singles as the No. 6 singles representative, Carlos Gonzales, delivered a 6-1, 6-0 win over TJ Ryerson to give the hosts a 2-0 lead. Kalocsai extended the lead to 3-0 on court No. 3, securing a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Martin Delnido before Vergara clinched the match for ETSU at No. 2 with a 6-3, 6-1 win against Franzmann.
 
Luethi posted ETSU's fifth point at No. 5, defeating Kincses 6-4, 6-3 ahead of a Kai Cowcher 4-6, 6-2, 10-6 victory over Grove at No. 4. Martinez concluded the match with a three-set, dramatic win over Jupa, 6-2, 6-7(5), 10-7 at No. 1.
