CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga Mocs softball team plays host this weekend to the Furman Paladins in the final Southern Conference series of the regular season at Frost Stadium.
 
PROMOTIONS
Saturday's game will highlight Mental Health Awareness. Fans are encouraged to wear green in support of this initiative. A limited number of Mocs tank tops will be given away at the gate.
 
On Sunday, the Mocs will bid farewell to nine teammates for Senior Day. Arrive early to cheer them on as they play their final home game.

CHATTANOOGA vs. FURMAN
The Mocs lead the series 87-28 dating back to 1994. At home, UTC is 42-5 against the Paladins. The Mocs are on a 10-game winning streak against Furman and five consecutive shutouts.
 
ABOUT CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs are 19-27-1 on the season and 7-11 against the Southern Conference. As a team, they are batting .291 led by Baileigh Pitts (.350), Ava Cowart (.347), Anna Dovey (.326) and Zoe Wright (.312). Pitts and Mia Leone each have a team-best five home runs and Leone leads UTC with 34 RBI and is ranked 40^th in the NCAA for caught stealing by. The Mocs are ranked 18^th in the NCAA for sacrifice bunts and 27^th for sac flies. UTC is third in the SoCon for shutouts and stolen bases.
 
In the circle, Taylor Long topped 500 career strikeouts in the Mocs win over UNC Greensboro last Sunday. She is 31^st in the NCAA for strikeouts per seven innings and leads the Southern Conference. She is 28^th for strikeouts with 150 and second in the league.
 
ABOUT FURMAN
The Paladins are 13-36 on the year and 5-13 in conference play. The team is hitting .276 led by Sylvia Burroughs (.338), AB Cipalla (.336) and Kristyn Embler (.303). As a team, Furman has 32 home runs led by Burroughs (9) who also has 39 runs batted in. In the circle, Furman has a 7.71 ERA with 117 strikeouts and a .352 opponent batting average.
