CHATTANOOGA (June 3, 2026) – After an impressive rookie season on the top court, Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis freshman
Addison Iacono was slotted No. 19 in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division I Women's Ohio Valley Regional Rankings (singles) as the organization released its rankings on Wednesday.
Iacono becomes just the fourth Moc in program history and first since Kayla Jones in 2015 to earn a final ITA Ohio Valley Regional ranking in singles action. The No. 19 ranking is second best in program history, slightly trailing Jones' No. 18 ranking in 2015 and besting the No. 20 mark from Jenna Nurik in 2011.
"It was a big year for the program, and everyone is proud of Addison," said head coach
Chad Camper. "We all know her best tennis is still ahead of her."
Iacono helped lead Chattanooga to its most wins in a single season since 2015 as the squad finished with a 17-5 overall record this spring. Iacono made 16 appearances in dual play this season, all in the No. 1 slot, and ended with a 12-4 record including a 3-3 mark in SoCon action.
For the full 2025-26 season, Iacono finished with a 24-7 overall record in singles, featuring the 12-4 dual record and a 12-3 mark in fall tournament play. She opened her collegiate dual career winning nine of her first 10 matches which included a seven-match winning streak from February 6 – March 22.
Iacono was tabbed to both the All-Southern Conference First Team (singles) and Southern Conference All-Freshman Team following her impressive season. She is the only SoCon representative within the final ITA Ohio Valley Regional rankings.
