TEMPE, Ariz. (July 13, 2026) – The impressive classroom success continues for the Chattanooga Mocs men's and women's tennis programs as both earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team honors while combining for 16 ITA Scholar-Athlete selections, the organization announced Monday.
The Chattanooga women's tennis program has now earned 16-straight ITA All-Academic Team honors while the men's team upped its consecutive streak to 12 following today's release. The 16 combined individual ITA Scholar-Athlete awards are second most on record (17 in 2021-22) and marks three-straight years with 10 or more honorees.
*For a team to be named an ITA All-Academic Team, the program must average a team GPA of 3.2 or better (on a 4.0 scale). To be labeled an ITA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must contain an overall GPA of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year.
MEN'S TENNIS ACADEMIC HONORS
The Chattanooga men's tennis program is coming off a stellar 2025-26 campaign in the classroom in which the team posted a 3.695 GPA, its second-best academic year on record. All 10 student-athletes finished with a 3.30+ GPA and landed on the Dean's List/AD Honor Roll while the team effort marked the program's 13
th time finishing with a 3.5+ GPA total.

WOMEN'S TENNIS ACADEMIC HONORS
For the ninth time on record, the Chattanooga women's tennis program posted a team semester GPA of 3.60+ after finishing with a 3.678 mark this spring. All nine student-athletes earned Dean's List/AD Honor Roll honors and finished with a 3.25+ GPA as the duo of
Rufaro Magarira and
Emma Pedretti led the way with perfect 4.0 GPA terms.
