SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The conference games for the 2026-27 Women's Basketball season are official as the SoCon released the dates for each team this morning. Chattanooga is scheduled for 16 league games this season as it looks to win its second consecutive Regular Season Championship.Ā
The 16-game SoCon schedule is two more games from last year, as a result of the addition of Tennessee Tech to the conference. It is also the most SoCon games that UTC has played in a season since the 2013-14 season where it played 18 games, going undefeated on its way to a Conference Championship.Ā Another new change to this year's schedule is that games will be played on Tuesday's and Saturday's rather than Thursday's and Saturday's.
With two more games on the league schedule, comes an earlier start to conference play. Chattanooga's first game against SoCon opposition is Tuesday, December 29 at home against Samford. The first SoCon game on the calendar is a rematch of last season's Conference Championship game. Later in the week, UTC hits the road to take on Mercer on January 2 for its first away league game.
The first of two Tuesday's that the Mocs will be off is the following week before Chattanooga returns to action at Tennessee Tech on January 9Ā for its inaugural battle as SoCon opponents.Ā
Chattanooga is back in the Roundhouse on January 12 and January 16 as it takes on Furman and UNCG. This is the lone time on the conference schedule that the Mocs play back-to-back home games.Ā
Moving on in the schedule, on January 19, Chattanooga visits Samford as the Blue and Gold play the Bulldogs twice in its first sixĀ SoCon games. Later on in the week on January 23 begins a stretch of three Saturdays in a row that UTC is on its home court as it takes on Western Carolina. Chattanooga's Men's Basketball team is also home on that dateĀ as Mocs fan will have the opportunity to watch both teams play on the same day.Ā
The Mocs' first game of the next week is at Wofford on January 26 followed by a home game against ETSUĀ on January 30. Both games are against opponentsĀ who three-way tied for the Regular Season Championship in the 2025-26 season.Ā
Chattanooga returns to the upstate of South Carolina the following week to take on Furman on February 2. The Mocs end the week with a home game against Tennessee Tech on February 6, the finale of three straight home Saturdays for UTC, and another doubleheader day with Men's Basketball.Ā
The second Tuesday off night follows next as Chattanooga's next game is not until Saturday, February 13 at UNCG. UTC ended a 27-game home winning streak for the Spartans in their meeting in Greensboro last year.Ā
Chattanooga's closing four games startĀ with a home tilt against Mercer on February 16. That Saturday, February 20, the Mocs head north to Johnson City to take on ETSU. The final week of the regular season sees Chattanooga host Wofford on February 23 and travel to Western Carolina on February 27.Ā
