Press Conference Tuesday Ahead of Saturday vs Tennessee Tech

Kevin Lalin spoke to the assembled media as the Chattanooga Mocs continue preparations for Saturday night’s home opener vs Tennessee Tech.
The Chattanooga Mocs football team looks ahead to Saturday's home opener against Tennessee Tech. The game broadcasts on the Southern Conference Nexstar package as well as ESPN+ online and via the Mocs Sports Network over the airwaves. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m., at Finley Stadium.

Every Tuesday during game weeks this season, the Mocs hold a press conference with coverage from the Times Free Press, Channels 3, 9 & 12, along with WUTC radio and various radio and television talents. This week featured Coach Rusty Wright leading off followed by senior safety Kam Baah-Slay and senior running back Kevin Lalin.
Lalin is coming off a 128-yard performance on 30 carries. That's the most yards in a debut since Lance Jackson's 135 in March 2021 vs Mercer. It's also the most rushes by a Mocs back since Ailym Ford's 31 in the Oct. 17, 2019 win over ETSU.
Baah-Slay led a strong defensive effort. His eight tackles led a unit that limited West Georgia to 10 points and just over 200 yards of total offense. The 38 rushing yards allowed was the fewest to an FCS opponent in an opener since 1996 (36-Charleston Southern).
