Opening Statement
"You know the kids executed. I know there's plenty of things we have to get better at. Everything's not always roses when you win, and it's not always just god-awful when you lose, but those kids went out and executed. We talked about our actions coming into this game today, controlling our actions and controlling the things we can, and I thought on both sides of the football and the kicking game we did that."
On the Bey-Buie touchdown that was immediately followed by the Nelson pick six in the second quarter
"I mean that is the thing, a defensive score is huge. There's 14 points and offense did not have to take the field, you know, for one of them. Those are huge, and you don't have those much. Doesn't happen much that fast, you know, but you got to be in the right spot for things like that to happen. And Jaden (Nelson) was in the right spot and made a good play. And those are things we have to do defensively."
On the defensive line and linebackers
"Those guys have a chance to be really good. I mean, they understand what we try to do. We have some different body types in there, which helps us because each one of them are a little different. You know, you got some guys that can just rush the passer. You got some guys that can play the run, so that helps. And I think everybody knows they're involved somehow. We're playing about eight or nine guys up there, which helps. And to cause a turnover there with a sack fumble, I mean those things are we have to be able to do."
On the offensive performance tonight
Well, I mean, they made it hard on us to throw the football. And again, we've got to be better at some things. But yeah, I mean, when you got an opportunity to get up and you're playing good defense, I mean, we have to turn it into ugly as ugly can get, you know, and that's just what we are right now until we can figure some things out. And we are still trying...I gotta turn into old school. We fly to dust and go play defense, and we'll get it figured out somehow some way. And a lot of credit goes to those coaches and those kids understanding what we are a little bit right now, and how we have to go about winning football games."
On not turning the ball over tonight
"I don't think we had a turnover, right? You know, we talked about it. Coming into the week, we don't turn the ball over on our side of the 50. If we don't do those things in this day and age in college football, you're going to have an opportunity to win football games. And our kids are starting to understand those things and figuring that stuff out."

"I was running down the gap 'cause I thought he was about to run. They didn't run the whole game, and I just seen the QB pull up and throw it. I jumped him in the face, I'm just glad I caught it. Orlando (Daniels) got a good block, which allowed me to score."
