Overall thoughts after today's win.
"All that matters is a win right now. First half, we were our own worst enemy. We didn't execute very well. But, when you come on the road, the running game and defensive effort like that goes a long way. I couldn't be more proud of this group. Trips like this keeps our kids together. I'm proud of how hard this group works, the kids, the staff, everyone. Couldn't be prouder of this group."
On this group's togetherness.
"I think our kids understand how we need to win football games, and that's a large part of today's age in football. They know we have to run the ball well, play defense well, and kick it better. Not turning the ball over, and turning them over, that's how we win football games. We grind it out and make them try to beat us. As long as we don't beat ourselves, we're right there."
On the defensive effort.
"That defense played well. Really, really well. They had less than 100 something yards outside of that last drive they went on. I thought our coaches did a fantastic job of switching things up, not showing too much what we were trying to do. Once we got things going, it was great to see. A lot of these kids are playing at a high level and playing hard. Again, these coaches have done a great job getting these guys to do what they need to do. I'll take today's effort all day long."

On facing The Citadel's option-style offense.
"We had to make sure we stayed focused. We had to keep our eyes and ears at a high level with the way they play. We were discipline.
On another solid defensive performance and near shutout.
"This gives us another boost and we want to do it every game. Each game is just another boost. Coach expects it from ourselves in practice, so we just wanted to come out and execute."
Devin Lively, OL-Jr.
On the run game and o-line play.
"It took us a minute to get going in the run game. We had to be patient in the run game and once we got it going, we got comfortable and it really went well. I thought we played well and it was a product of just doing what we were supposed to do."
On the offensive system with Battle at QB.
"Coach [Joe] Pizzo has done a great job of getting Battle in situations to succeed. Battle doesn't worry about any of those stats, like the yards, attempts, any of that. He just wants to win. We all know he just wants to win and that's a great feeling, especially as a lineman."
Davon Kiser, WR-Sr.
On the punt return for a touchdown.
"Really just trusting my teammates, they did all the hard work. All I did was catch it, they have the hard part of blocking down field. That's mostly on them. My mindset, when I'm back there, I want to be a threat."
On moving back to punt return and doing the most possible.
"That's a big thing. Those yards win games. It's a game of inches, so getting those extra yards really makes a difference."
