2020-21 • JUNIOR SEASON:  Went 7-5 overall ... 6-5 at 149 ... 5-3 in SoCon action ... made the A.D. Honor Roll in the spring.

2019-20 • SOPHOMORE SEASON:  Went 4-12 at 141 ... made the Dean's List and the A.D. Honor Roll in the spring ... made the SoCon Honor Roll.  

2018-19 • FRESHMAN SEASON:  Posted a 7-6 mark in tournament action ... sixth place at the Fr./So. bracket at the Hokie Open  ... made the Dean's List & the A.D. Honor Roll both semesters ... made the SoCon Honor Roll.   

2017-18 • REDSHIRT SEASON:  Sat out the season as a redshirt ... made the Dean's List & the A.D. Honor Roll both semesters ... made the SoCon Honor Roll.   

PRIOR TO UTC:  State champion from Ocean Lakes High School in Virginia Beach, Va. ... wrestled for head coach Chris Barnhart ... 37-3 as a senior ... 40-4 record as a junior, including a fourth place finish in the state tournament. 

PERSONAL: Born April 8, 1999 ... son of Chuck & Amy Murphy ... Mechanical Engineering major ... has two sisters, Emily & Sarah, and a brother, Liam.
