JUNIOR (2019-20 - KANSAS)
- Played in 18 games and averaged 8.4 minutes, 2.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest
- Led KU in blocked shots three times … Pulled down five or more rebounds three times
- Tied a career-high with three blocks vs. Kansas State (1/21) … Set a season-high with seven rebounds vs. Kansas City (12/14) 
- Had a season-high 11 points with six rebounds vs. Monmouth (11/15).

SOPHOMORE (2018-19 - KANSAS)
- Practiced with the Kansas team but did not compete in a game.

FRESHMAN (2017-18 - KANSAS)
- Appeared in 20 games, averaging 4.0 point and 3.7 rebounds
- Pulled down six or more rebounds seven times, including his last three games in the NCAA Tournament 
- Scored in double figures twice with 10 versus Oklahoma (2/19) and 16 against West Virginia (3/10)
- Averaged 4.8 points and 5.4 rebounds in the NCAA Tournament
- Tied season high with 26 minutes vs. Duke (3/25) with 10 rebounds and scoring four points
- Came up big in the Big 12 Tournament averaging 20.0 minutes, 10.0 ppg and 9.7 rpg
- Posted his first double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds vs. West Virginia (3/10) in the Big 12 title game

KANSAS OVERVIEW
- Played in 18 games as a junior in 2019-20 with one start... played in 38 games while at Kansas
- Was a key part of Kansas’ 2017-18 Final Four run after joining the team following the fall semester
- Practiced but did not play in a game for the 2018-19 season and in Feb. 2019 the NCAA ruled him ineligible for the remainder of the 2018-19 season and the 2019-20 season
- Upon appeal in May 2019, the NCAA declared him eligible to play for KU for the 2019-20 season … One of four current Jayhawks who were members of the 2018 Final Four KU team.

HIGH SCHOOL (IMG ACADEMY)
- Played 3.5 seasons at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida
- As a junior, averaged 13.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and shot 61 percent from the floor … IMG went 28-2 in 2016-17 and lost in the quarterfinals of the Dick’s High School National Championship
- In summer 2017, represented Angola in the FIBA AfroBasket 2017 in Tunis, Tunisia, where his team advanced to the quarterfinals … Led Angola with 17.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per game and shot 51 percent from the field at the AfroBasket 2017 
- Played AAU for the Florida Vipers … In 2016, was named the most valuable player of the FIBA Africa Championship.

PERSONAL
- Born in Luanda, Angola
- Parents are Janina De Sousa and Jean Conceicao
- Has three younger sisters: Aline (14), Luisa (12) and Alicia (6)
- Father works for the basketball federation in Angola and mother works for the government
- Played soccer and basketball until he was nine-years-old and focused on basketball only at the age of 10
- Moved to Florida before his freshman year in high school … Liberal Arts and Sciences major.
