Chris Harr spent four years on Russ Huesman's staff as the tight ends coach at UTC. Harr was on the staff in 2012 as a student-assistant after a stellar four-year playing career from 2007-10.
Harr guided Faysal Shafaat to All-American honors as a senior in 2014. Shafaat’s 18 receiving touchdowns rank No. 4 on the Mocs' all-time list. He led the Mocs with 322 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 35 catches that season.
A two-time All-SoCon performer at left tackle, Harr signed a free-agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2011 and played in the preseason.
Harr came to UTC in 2007, appearing in nine games at tight end as a true freshman. He switched to right tackle as a sophomore, where he started all 34 games over the next three years.
As a junior, Harr was a second-team All-SoCon pick. The league’s coaches gave him first team recognition after his senior year.
Harr finished his degree in Health & Human Performance in December 2012. He is married to the former Brittany Eason, a three-time All-SoCon softball player at UTC from 2007-10.
