2006: Started all 72 games played in ... had team’s third highest batting average .270 ... hit five home runs, six doubles and had 20 RBI ... had .332 on-base percentage ... posted a fielding average of .990 with a team high 469 putouts with 25 assists ... had a team-high 21 fielding double plays.

2005: Played in 21 games and started six ... had a .259 slugging average with a .333 slugging percentage and a .355 on-base percentage ... hit a pair of doubles and recorded a .923 fielding percentage.

2004: Played in 21 games ... started 12 games, one at first base and 11 as designated hitter ... posted a .138 batting average ... had four hits, including two doubles and four RBI ... had one game with two hits and batted in three runs in one game ... drew eight walks and hit by pitch twice.

2003: Took a medical redshirt season ... named to 2003 spring semester Dean’s List ... earned a spot on fall 2002 Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

Midlakes High: Named league MVP and Offensive Player of the Year after batting .497 ... captain of the Eagles and named First Team All-League ... as a junior, batted .468, and named team captain ... First Team All-League and Offensive Player of the Year ... did not strike out in sophomore season ... named First Team All-League ... earned Second Team All-League honors as a freshman ... earned five letters in softball ... played goalie on varsity soccer team two years and played basketball three seasons ... won Scholar Athlete Award and Most Outstanding Athlete of the Year ... honor roll student ... played on summer team Beach Girls Gold with former UTC teammate Abby Cotrell.

Personal: Born in Rochester, N.Y. on Jan. 27 ... Psychology and Criminal Justice major ... parents are Tom Edwards and Barb Winberg ... family includes two siblings, Jason (20) and Schuyler (17) ... brother, Jason, plays lacrosse at Alfred University ... biggest athletic thrill was hitting a three-run home run in SoCon Tournament to put UTC ahead by one in the bottom of the sixth ... chose Chattanooga because of the facilities and it was the farthest away from home.
