Earning a promotion to Director of Sports Medicine in July 2024, Evan Wilson enters his fifth overall season at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2024-25 and first season acting as the department's director, primarily working with the football program. Evan also serves as the sports medicine drug testing coordinator.

A former UTC student, Evan returns to the Scenic City after spending the 2019 season at Samford University working as an athletic trainer with the football program. Familiar with the Southern Conference, Evan was an intern athletic trainer with the football, men’s and women’s track and field, and cross-country programs at East Tennessee State University during the 2018-2019 season.   

A Chattanooga Moc through and through, Evan earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2015. He remained at UTC for an additional two years to complete his Master of Science in Athletic Training in 2018. Evan is certified in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, suturing techniques, and is a QPR Trained Layperson.  

Evan is from Murfreesboro, Tenn., and currently resides in Chattanooga. In his spare time, Evan enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing golf, hiking and camping.
