Scott Butler

Scott Butler will coordinate the team’s video exchange and tape cutup and editing for the second straight year.

A former quarterback at East Tennessee State, Butler was a member of Head Coach Paul Hamilton’s squad in 2002 and 2003. He was a member of the Buccaneers’ final team in 2003 when the program was discontinued.

Butler earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management in 2006 from ETSU and is currently working on his Master’s in Business Administration at UTC.

A native of Kingsport, Tenn., Butler was a two-year quarterback at Dobyns-Bennett High School. A two-time All-Conference performer, he compiled a 22-3 record as a starter. He set nine school or conference passing records including the legendary Bobby Dodd’s 75-year-old career touchdown passing record at the school with 44 touchdown passes.

Butler led DBHS to the Class 5A state semifinals his junior year before falling to eventual champion Red Bank. As a junior, he set the school record for touchdown passes in a season with 24.

A team captain, he was also elected Vice President of his senior class.
