- 1st career double-double (15 pts/11 reb) at Tennessee Tech…1st Moc freshman to record a double-double since Chris Early vs. Tennessee Wesleyan (11 & 10) on Dec. 29, 2008…1st to do it vs a DI opponent since Alphonso Pugh (11&10) at Bradley on Nov. 30, 2002…Lewis’ was the ninth of the DI era.
- Team leader in offensive rebounds (60) despite missing six contests…three or more on the offensive glass 12 times with a high of five (Tennessee Wesleyan, at Tennessee Tech & at UNCG).
- Career began with 12 points at Wyoming.
- 10 points and a team-best-tying nine rebounds in the win over UT Martin...then season high for boards.
- Helped Mocs dominate the glass against Charlotte with eight rebounds…allowed just two second chance points.

- Completed a post-graduate year at Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass., in 2017...averaged 18 points and 11 boards under Terrell Ivory's tutelage.
- Ranked No. 21 in Massachusetts and No. 78 in New England while earning NEPSAC All-Conference honorable mention.
- Strong prep career in North Carolina at Northside Christian in Charlotte area as well as Gaston Day in Gastonia…tallied 16 points and 12 boards per contest for Byron Dinkins at Northside in 2015-16...posted a double-double 11.4-point, 10.3-rebound average as a junior at Gaston Day in 2014-15.
- Several all-conference mentions in those seasons along with 2015 North Carolina Top 80…2014 Team MVP and 2013 Team Defensive Award at Gaston Day.
- Chose a post-grad year at Phillips over offers from Radford, Winthrop and UNC-Asheville...selected the Mocs this year despite overtures from Colgate, USC Upstate and Kennesaw State.
PERSONAL
- Born June 28...son of James Sr., and Ursula Lewis...younger sister Jamila.
- Enjoys watching football and playing video games when away from the court.
- Honor Roll student earned several academic awards including 2016 President’s Award for Academic Excellence, 2015 Math Award, NCHSAA Scholar-Athlete in 2013 and 2014 along with Chemistry Award in 2014.
- Majoring in Exercise Science.
