Gracie Thurson begins her second year at Chattanooga ahead of the 2024-25 season, serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the men's basketball and women's golf programs. Prior to her start here at UTC, Gracie was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Valdosta State University working with men’s basketball, volleyball, cheer, and dance starting in 2021. Before elevating to a full-time role, Gracie was a Graduate Assistant at Valdosta State from 2019-2021 working with men’s basketball, volleyball, cheer, and dance.
Gracie received her Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from the University of West Florida in 2019. She went on to receive her Master's in Higher Education at Valdosta State University in 2021. Gracie is Dry Needling Certified and is a Certified Nutrition Coach from National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
Originally from Neptune Beach, Fla., Gracie enjoys the beach, working out, cooking, and taking long walks with her dog Kleo.
